We wanted to write a quick post on how we source our used books before they get delivered. We recently ran a social media campaign within our local community that yielded over 1000 used children's books. We also worked with 6 different libraries in our local area to source another 500 books. Once the books are collected, we then check multiple reviews to make sure books are age-appropriate as well as thematically and culturally appropriate for the children. Our partner organizations then provide ages for the children they are resettling, and we put together tote bags with 10-20 books for each child. The attached picture shows a bag that was recently put together for a 2 year old.
