June 20th is World Refugee Day, and the Biden Administration put out a press release celebrating the Administration's accomplishments around rebuilding refugee resettlement services in the US. In fiscal year 2024, the US will resettle more than 100,000 refugees which is the highest in three decades. The administration has also done a lot of work to streamline the refugee resettlement process from overseas processing, to vetting, to building private sponsorship programs, and helping refugees find new jobs. While we refrain from the topic of politics, the presidential election in 2024 will be pivotal to continue this progress.
